The ICS Chartr 200 is the latest generation of our well-known vestibular test systems. It provides a comprehensive, systematic VNG/ENG solution based on more than 20 years of practical experience.

VNG, ENG or both

In a sleek and portable design, the ICS Chartr 200 handles all traditional vestibular test functionalities and capabilities for securing data and consolidating patient records. It combines the two most important tests, video- and electronystagmography, in a single convenient device.  

The built-in ENG module completes the system and assures the clinic does not have to turn away patients that cannot be tested using VNG and the goggles. The ENG and VNG modules share the same database and user interface.  ICS Chartr 200 is offered in a VNG only or ENG only device also.

Quality data for quality care

The dedicated hardware assures a smooth stimulus presentation and accurate data collection. For oculomotor tests, it allows the collected data to be synchronized with the precise corresponding stimulus position, and buffered in hardware. The computer is free to perform real-time analysis of the data without lagging behind or dropping data points.

The most recent software release continues the tradition of user-friendliness by including user-definable test times and the option of adding a logo to your custom report.

Integrated analysis developed by professionals

You benefit from integrated analysis and normative data displays. The system provides instant automatic analysis that rejects poor responses due to patient non-compliance.

Working closely with leading balance professionals, the ICS Chartr 200 system is the result of years of clinical experience. Kamran Barin, Ph.D. has played a vital role in creating the Interpretation Assistant™ which is key to the accurate explanation of the static positional and caloric tests. After validating and analyzing static positional or caloric VNG/ENG test results, the interpretation analysis is displayed on screen and can be transferred directly to the patient report where it can be printed or stored electronically.

Compact solution

With its compact hardware, lightweight lightbar and sleek goggles with built-in fixation light, the ICS Chartr 200 is a truly portable solution. The setup can be easily moved between offices and connected to a laptop via USB for off-site visits.

The ranger on the lightbar also ensures that the patient is always the correct distance from the stimulus.  This guarantees that if the software states it is presenting x degrees it is truly x degrees and therefore maintains accurate data collection between the eyes and the stimulus.  The Chartr software notifies the clinician the percentage of time during the test that the patient was out of range.

Remote control or foot switch

The convenient remote control or optional footswitch lets you operate the software from a distance so that personal contact with the patient can be maintained during testing.

Integration with ICS Caloric Irrigators and Evoked Potentials

Otometrics offers integration of the caloric stimulation function with our computer-based VNG (videonystagmography) and ENG (electronystagmography) systems. The program remotely selects the required warm or cool temperature. Test initiation simultaneously starts the recording and the caloric stimulus.

Furthermore, the ICS Chartr 200 can be combined with Otometrics' EP solution; the ICS Chartr EP 200. Software for both systems can be installed on the same computer and users benefit from a complete test battery and a shared database.
