OAE (Otacoustic Emissions)
Capella/CHARTR
OAE is our fully diagnostic system featuring NOAH/Pax based software
running under the latest Windows operating system. Screening:
The screen-mode allows effective pass/refer screening for initial
assessment of hearing. An ultra-lightweight baby probe is available
for TEOAE screenings with infants. OAE,
along with auditory brainstem response testing (ABR), is part
of a follow-up protocol recommended for all infants.

Cochlear
Diagnostics: Capella/CHARTR OAE includes diagnostic tools
used to assess the integrity of the cochlea (organ for hearing),
specifically the outer hair cells. You can select modules
for transient evoked OAE, distortion product OAE or spontaneous
OAE. All three types of emissions can be recorded using
a single probe.
Middle
Ear Diagnostics: This additional feature provides a quick
analysis of middle ear function. You can select either a
226 Hz probe tone or 1000 Hz probe tone. This feature will
allow audiologists to check for fluid behind the eardrum
and other middle ear abnormalities that can reduce or eliminate
cochlear emissions.

Our products support industry best practices by enabling complete
integration of screening, follow-up and diagnostic services. CHARTR
OAE with Tymp easily combines with CHARTR EP with PediABR to provide
a comprehensive testing system.
